As part of our CD launch tour we are visiting Dungog for the first time in the Hunter Valley to perform at the James Theatre, the oldest fully enclosed purpose-built cinema still operating in Australia! This concert was instigated at the request of a music fan from Dungog, one Mr Terrence Healy, and with the assistance of the Friends of the James Theatre and The Dungog Visitor Information Centre.

To celebrate a decade together (from the Sydney Opera House to Korea, Indonesia and the Berlin Jazz Festival) the Julien Wilson Trio are launching their new album with a National tour. Featuring three of Australia’s most astounding improvisors.

“One of Australia’s most unique trios.” Mal Stanley – ABC FM Jazztrack

“The sheer majestic quality of this band’s music is astounding” Des Cowley – Rhythms

“Ravishingly beautiful music…enchanting lyricism…the epitome of understatement.

As close as you’re likely to get to dreaming with your eyes open” Jessica Nicholas – The Age

“Full of haunting nostalgia. Nobody could not like this music” John Clare – SIMA

The unusual, yet attractive, combination of instruments is perhaps the first thing you’ll notice, before you appreciate the rare skills of all three players, and their ability to combine their voices so seamlessly.” Adrian Jackson – Rhythms

“Unforced poetry” John Shand – SMH
