To celebrate a decade together (from the Sydney Opera House to Berlin Jazz Festival, Korea and Indonesia) the Julien Wilson Trio are launching their new album with a National tour.
Featuring Stephen Magnusson (guitar) and Steve Grant (accordion) with Julien on saxophones and bass clarinet, this unusual trio creates a sound like no other. Their new album Swailing represents a new stage in their development and has been receiving enthusiastic comments from radio presenters around the world.
Their CD Launch at 505 on April 5th will be their first show in Sydney for (it’s been so long we can’t even remember!) With Steve Grant based in Europe for the best part of two years touring with CW Stoneking, and Magnusson regularly on the road, trio performances have been all too rare of late. 505 will be the first stop on their national tour.
